Breeding Program
Natural and AI
Our breeding program consists of Natural breeding, AI breeding and Embryo Transfer. Our commercial herd is mainly natural breeding’s, to one of the purebred bulls we have selected. Our walking herd sires are selected on their overall confirmation as well as EPD scores. They need to have the ability to travel the pastures in the spring and summer months and maintain good conception rates.

In our Purebred herd we are constantly looking for new bull genetics to help grow the breed and take out herd to the next level. This herd is bred by Artificial Insemination, this gives us the ability to pair the cows and bulls based on the traits we would like to improve on in our herd. Making more productive, easy doing cattle with the ability to raise a strong calf year after year.
Embryo Transfer
Our Embryo Transfer program has given us the ability to utilize some of the better commercial cows in our herd to produce and raise calves from breed leading farms and ranches all over Canada and the US. By being able to successfully flush embryos from a select group of our OWN females we have been able to grow not only our purebred herd over the years, but we are working towards building a strong Recip cow herd as well.
